THE ELECTRIC SIX
From Detroit, Michigan. Led by Dick Valentine (vocals) with M (drums), Tait Nucleus (keyboards), Johnny Na$hinal (guitar), The Colonel (guitar) and John R. Dequindre (bass). With The White Stripes opening the Detroit music scene to the nation, it was inevitable that new bands would get scooped up in the signings that followed. Along with the Von Bondies, The Electric Six showed the most promise of the new crop. Featuring the vocals of Jack White on loan from The White Stripes, the hit "Danger! High Voltage" took not radio but the club world by storm. The band itself has enough talent, energy and charisma to follow up on the success without outside help. Early success however left the band a bit daunted and one by one, the members jumped ship. By 2010, Valentine is the sole remaining original member. 2003-present.
