From Los Angeles. Led by Anne Previn (vocals) with and. An often overlooked alternative band of the mid-90's, Ednaswap never had any chart hits, always getting ignored by some strange twist of fate. They came to everyone's attention just as they were breaking apart when their single "Torn" was covered by actress/singer Natalie Imbruglia. Spurred by the songwriter's success, Madonna came calling next and covered the band's "Sanctuary" but changed it radically. Subsequently Anne formed the new project Annetenna at the start of the new century with a few Ednaswap alumni. Ednaswap: 1995-99, Annetenna: 2000-present.
