DAVE EDMUNDS
From Cardiff, Wales, England. Producer/guitar wizard and vocalist, Dave Edmunds has helped keep the guitar influence of the 50's alive in modern rock. He single-handedly created a lasting sound that fits into any time period without really sounding dated at all. Starting in the late 60's with his group Love Sculpture, Edmunds churned out new and brilliant guitar pieces, like his take on the classical piece "Sabre Dance" featuring impossibly fast guitar playing. As a solo act, his taste for rockabilly came to life and with his sometimes partner Nick Lowe, they created Rockpile, a power pop group extraordinaire. In recent years his work has been less regular and less evident on the radio but as long as he can pick up a guitar we'll be hearing from Dave. 1966-present.
