ELLIOT EASTON
From Boston, Massachusetts. Elliot "Easton" Steinberg. The onetime guitarist for The Cars made one great solo album in 1985, played with Jules Shear in The Reckless Sleepers briefly, then vanished for years, only to reemerge as a member of Creedence Clearwater Revisited. Talk about abandoning your reputation! Easton however is like every good musician, trying to earn a living doing what he does best and loving what he does. In 2005, Easton announced that he would tour with a new version of The Cars in 2006 featuring former Cars keyboardist Gregg Hawkes and (amazingly) Todd Rundgren on vocals as "The New Cars". 1985.
