DUMPTRUCK

From Massachusetts. Led by Seth Tiven (vocals/guitar) and Kirk Swan (vocals/guitar). A brilliant guitar pop band, their label sued them for five million dollars to keep them from switching to another label and destroyed the band in the process. An album recorded in 1991 finally saw the light of day in 1995. Onetime guitarist Kevin Salem now has a solo career, original bass player Steve Michener joined Big Dipper. After Tiven moved to Austin, Texas in the 90's, he reactivated the band with a new line-up in 1997. The new Dumptruck is: Seth Tiven (vocals/guitar), Alan Durham (guitar), Jeff Farris (bass) and George Duron (drums). Swan contributed his harmony vocals to the latest release without rejoining the group. 1983-87/1995/1998-present.
