DREAMS SO REAL
From Athens, Georgia. Led by Barry Marler (vocals/guitar) with Trent Allen (bass) and Drew Worsham (drums). Like their city bandmates R.E.M., their music had a jangle guitar sound that gave their music a great quality. However, they were the band that did not find that same fame and fortune. Fortune turned for the worse however for one band member. In December 2003, Worsham was a victim in a passion killing. His girlfriend's former boyfriend shot Worsham in the head, left him for dead, took his girlfriend into a nearby woods and shot her and then himself. Both the killer and the woman died from their wounds. Worsham however was not mortally wounded and has been recovering slowly. Marler later worked again with Allen in the band Ether. 1985-90.
