DISTURBED

From Chicago, Illinois.  Led by David Draiman (vocals) with Dan Donegan (guitar), John Moyer (bass) and Mike Wengren (drums).  Part of the harder sound dominating radio airwaves of alternative stations in the late 90's and early 2000's.  Aurally similar to Rage Against The Machine, this band walks the edge of heavy metal but still keeps some alternative elements about their sound.  The band started under the name Brawl with a different vocalist and shopped some demos.  Draiman came onboard in 1996 which facilitated the change in band name as well.  Original bass player Steve "Fuzz" Kmak was let go from the band in 2003.  One of the bands biggest successes came in the form of an odd choice for a cover version, Genesis' "Land Of Confusion".  1999-present.
