DIDO
From London. Dido (pronounced Dye-Doh) Armstrong is a contemporary singer who managed to catch on with the public at large by word of mouth. Born as Florian Cloud de Bounevialle Armstrong, her music became increasingly visible in background music for movies and television, and as her mournful vocals became more familiar, her fan base grew substantially. A former literary agent, she is the sister of Rollo Armstrong of Faithless, whose band she has recorded and toured with. Her first solo single "Here With Me" eventually became the theme song to the science fiction television program "Roswell". In addition, rapper Eminem took her song "Thank You" and sampled heavily for his song "Stan". 1999-present.
