HOWARD DEVOTO

From Manchester, England. Howard Trotter changed his name when he became a founder of The Buzzcocks and later, Magazine. His solitary 1983 solo album features the hit "Rainy Season". In 1988 he formed Luxuria with former Cure guitarist Noko. He has in recent years collaborated with other bands (Mansun, Apollo 440) and renewed his association with former Buzzcocks co-leader Pete Shelley. Mainly however, DeVoto is semi-retired and prefers to stay behind the scenes writing or producing music. He has been working for a photo agency for over a decade as a photo librarian. 1983/1988-90.
