DEAD OR ALIVE
From Liverpool, England. Led by Pete Burns (vocals) with Mike Percy (bass), Tim Lever (keyboards) and Steve Coy (drums). Originally called Nightmares In Wax, this band's un-hip take on dance music was solidified by their first hit, a cover of K.C. & The Sunshine Band's "That's The Way I Like It". The worldwide smash of "You Spin Me Round", followed by a failure to duplicate that large success, led the group to disband in 1989. Burns continued on as a solo and under the name Glam before readopting the Dead Or Alive name in 1994. 1979-84/1994-present.
