D-GENERATION

From New York City.  Led by Jesse Malin (vocals) with Danny Sage (guitar), Richard Beechus (guitar), Howie Pyro (bass) and Michael Wildwood (drums).  Sometimes described as new glam or the second coming of The New York Dolls, their love for early New York City punk is evident throughout their work.  More critical praise than public acceptance, the future of this band may be little more than a footnote.  In 1999 it was reported that Malin had left the group leaving its future in question.  Malin then embarked on a semi-successful solo career.  Had they held out a little longer, they could have been The Strokes.  1993-present.
