From Seattle, Washington, now residing in Paris, France. The former lead singer of Soundgarden, Chris Cornell made his solo debut with a song on the soundtrack to the film "Great Expectations". The first full album to follow surprised many followers when he adopted a poppier Beatles-inspired sound. Before long however he joined up with former members of Rage Against the Machine to form Audioslave, which lasted in a five year partnership. 2007 will see his first new album in 9 years appear. After a hit single with the theme to the James Bond film "Casino Royale", Cornell turned heads further by announcing an upcoming cover version of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean". 1998-present.
