JULIAN CASABLANCAS
From New York City. The leader of The Strokes and son of modeling mogul John Casblancas and former Miss Denmark Jeanette Christiansen. The fact that his parents divorced when he was still a young boy might explain why he ended up in rehab at age 13 for alcohol abuse. Dropping out of college after years of Euro-American schooling, he formed The Strokes with friends he made throughout his schooling years. The last member of the band to release a solo disc, critical praise for his 2009 release "Phrazes For The Young" mirrored the history of The Strokes in America, namely, critics love him/them but commercial success fails to find its way back. 2009-present.
