CARTER U.S.M.
From London. Led by Jim Bob (James Morrison)(vocals/guitar) with Les "Fruitbar" Carter (guitar) and Wez (drums). Carter - Unstoppable Sex Machine was one of England's better shoegazer bands but maintained their success only on one side of the Atlantic. Their thick accents and subject matter was a little too isolationist for US ears. Fruitbat later led the band Abdoujaporav, while Jim Bob's new band was called Jim's Super Stereoworld. Ten years after they dissolved the band, Jim Bob and Fruitbat bought a drum machine and held a reunion tour of England! 1988-98.
