THE CANDYSKINS
From Oxford, England. Led by Nick Cope (vocals/guitar) with Nick Burton (guitar), Mark Cope (guitar), Karl Shale (bass) and John Halliday (drums). After exiting an unsatisfying contract with Geffen records, the band began to release its first new material in several years. Nick and Mark were arrested after spray painting the words "No Fun" on the building that housed Geffen's headquarters! Many critics have written about them in recent press as if they were a brand new Britpop band, oblivious to their earlier success. Signing with a new indy label they again tried to make a conquest but the label went bust and the band promptly called it quits after repeated disappointments in their career. 1991-2000.
