CACTUS WORLD NEWS
From
Dublin, Ireland. Led by Eoin McEvoy (vocals/guitar) with Frank Kearns
(guitar), Fergal MacAindris (bass) and Wayne Sheehy (drums). This band
made their debut with the single "The Bridge" produced by Bono of U2 and
released on U2's Mother Records label. The band made a dent on college and
early alternative radio only to vanish from sight after one great album. The band did manage to release one more poorly distributed album before calling
it quits. Today, the band maintains a website and sells its unreleased
recordings to the faithful who remember. 1985-90.
