CHRISTMAS
From Providence, Rhode Island and Boston, Massachusetts. Led by Nick Cuddahy (guitar/bass) and Liz Cox (vocals/guitar). After a few albums of curious psychedelic folk punk, they moved to Las Vegas and formed the ultra-lounge act known as Combustible Edison! This later band was led by Nick Cuddahy (bass) and Miss Lily Banquette (Liz Cox) with Peter Dixon (keyboards), The Millionare (guitar) and Aaron Oppenheimer (drums/vibraphone). The lounge movement in alternative rock lasted about as long as the swing revival, just a blip in time but something in Combustible Edison's recordings connected with a moment in time when everything new was made of aluminum and people lived in the "space age"!
