FIG DISH
From Chicago, Illinois. Led by Blake Smith (vocals/guitar) with Dave Suh (guitar), Mike Willison (bass) and Jason Batchko (drums). From the ashes of the incredibly great but widely overlooked Figdish comes Caviar, an interesting balance of straight ahead rock combined with the usual hijinks one might expect from Beck. Smith and Willison were primary members in Fig Dish and continue the smart lyrics and brainy pop of their previous band here. Smith was romantically connected with Veruca Salt's Nina Gordon for a time. Suh has been replaced by Pete Muschong. Information from the band stopped in late 2004 which speculates an unofficial break-up, meanwhile Fig Dish reunited for a show in March of 2006.
