THE BONGOS

From Hoboken,
New Jersey. Led by Richard Barone (vocals/guitar), with Rob Norris (bass) and Frank
Giannini (drums), and later adding James Mastro (vocals/guitar). 80's
new wave at its best. These founding members of the Hoboken scene paved
the way for other bands to follow. Rhythmic, danceable, The Bongos name
reflected the driving beat throughout most of their work. Barone moved on
to a solo career, Mastro became a member of The Health & Happiness
Show. 1982-85.
