THE BELLE STARS
From England. A spin-off band of the all-female ska outfit The Bodysnatchers! The members: Stella Barker (guitar), Miranda Joyce (saxophone), Jennie McKeown (vocals), Sara-Jane Owen (guitar), Judy Parsons (drums), Lesley Shone (bass) and Clare Hirst (keyboards). Their version of the 1960's hit "Iko-Iko" became a hit long after the group's demise when it was included in the film "Rain Man" in 1988. McKeown quickly toured behind it in clubs to take advantage of the popularity, also taking part in the Here & Now nostalgia tour in 2002. 1983.
