From Nashville, Tennessee. Bare Jr. is led by Bobby Bare Jr. (vocals/guitar) with Michael "Grimey" Grimes (guitar), Tracy Hackney (dulcimer), Dean Tomasek (bass) and Keith Brogdon (drums). Bare is the son of Bobby Bare a known and respected country singing artist. Bobby Bare Jr. has led a colorful life so far, beginning with a nomination for a Grammy award at age seven, through a struggle with alcoholism that led to jail time and finally his new success. His music is best compared with the raucous cowpunk and rockabilly of the 80's. By his third album, Bare was solo with a revolving cast of backing musicians, presenting a more subdued tone musically but lyrically just as scathing. 1998-present.
