BAD MANNERS
From London. This band of second wave ska revivalists is led by Doug "Buster Bloodvessel" Trendle (vocals) with Louis Cook (guitar), Dave Farren (bass), Paul Hymen (trumpet), Alan "Winston Bazxoomies" Sayag (harmonica), Martin Stewart (keyboards), Andrew Marson (saxophone), Chris Kane (saxophone) and Brian Chew-It (drums). Fun music for fun people, they never attained the heights of their contemporaries (Specials, Madness, etc.) outside of the U.K. but have outlasted all of them. Not so surprisingly the only original member left in the band is Buster who named himself after a character in The Beatles' movie "Magical Mystery Tour". The current line-up includes Simon Cuell (guitar), Carlton Hunt (drums), Steve "Sledge" Armstrong (bass), Trevor Irving (trumpet), Tony "Treacle" Rico (saxophone), Dave Welton (trombone) and Rickesh Macwana (keyboards). Buster also operated a restaurant called Fatty Towers for two years and has recently reduced his massive girth with a stomach bypass operation. Stewart left the band with some other members in the 90's to reform The Selecter with Pauline Black. Sayag suffered a nervous breakdown on tour in the 80's and eventually left the group around 1993. 1980-present..
