THE BUTTHOLE SURFERS
From San Antonio, Texas. Led by Gibby Haynes (vocals) with Paul Leary (guitar), King Coffey (drums) and Jeff Pinkus (bass). This noisy combo had always been a popular underground act. Haynes tried being a DJ on alternative radio 101X in Austin for a while but it didn't work out. Too tame for Gibby! The band also has taken a different twist on bootlegs by taking all illegal bootlegs they could find for sale and posting them free on their web site! 1983-present.
