THE BRANDOS

From New York City.  Led by David Kincaid (vocals/guitar) with Frank Funaro (drums), Ernie Mendillo (bass) and Frank Giordano (guitar). This band had a promising US debut and then disappeared only to turn up as a hit in Europe!  The disappearance was due to a management error that would keep them from releasing their music in America for six years.  Their poignant "Gettysburg" stands as the band's major highpoint.  Funaro previously played in The Del-Lords and is a touring member of Cracker.  Fellow Del-Lord Scott Kempner also played with The Brandos for several years as well.  Kincaid has released a solo album of Irish folk songs that are associated with fighting regiments of America's civil war, a labor of love sprung as a result of his involvement with a civil war reenactment group!  1987-present.
