DALE BOZZIO
From Boston, Massachusetts. The lead singer of Missing Persons made only one solo album after the band split up. This disc was heavily influenced by Prince and as she was signed to his Paisley Park label, reflecting the purple one's sound just didn't gel with this new wave princess. The too polished sound made the album stiff and she disappeared after that. Settling into a suburban life of motherhood and domesticity, she has in recent years put a new version of Missing Persons back together and brought out the old bottle of pink hair dye! It took almost twenty years but Dale finally released some new material, a covers album of old new wave hits in 2007. In 2009, Dale was convicted of animal cruelty and sentenced to 90 days in jail. The circumstances imply that the cruelty, while unintentional was the result of negligence. Stories began to pop up that Dale had become a "crazy cat lady" and a recluse, but a woman who values her privacy is not necessarily nuts! .1988/2007-present.
