BLINK 182
From San Diego, California. Led by Mark Hoppus (vocals/bass) and Tom Delonge (vocals/guitar) with Scott Raynor (drums). Another third wave ska-punk band from Southern California, slowly carving their way into the minds of America's public. Within a short space of time, their brand of punk pop outshined even contemporaries like Green Day. Raynor was replaced in 1997 by the much tattooed Travis Barker. Quite unexpectedly, the band decided on an indefinite hiatus in 2005. Current theories about the break-up include Barker's marriage to former Playboy Playmate Shanna Moakler and the M-TV reality show that they began, "Meet The Barkers", a punk take on Jessica Simpson's "Newlyweds". That marriage however would only last two years. Meanwhile, Delonge formed the successful Angels & Airwaves. 1994-2005.
