BLACK LAB
From San Francisco, California. Led by Paul Durham (vocals/guitar) with Michael Belfer (guitar), Jon Evans (bass) and Dan Foltz (drums). A familiar sound, very much like the group Live. After a promising debut, the usual corporate buy out happened, this time at their label Geffen and the band was caught in a limbo where they could not release new material. Sometime around 2000, the band apparently gave up the ghost. But quietly Durham has persisted, releasing music to tribute albums, soundtracks and experimenting with the sound of the group. Now they continue the process of once again finding a major label to get behind their vision. They finally released a new album in 2007 on an independent label. 1997--present.
