BLACK FLAG

From Los Angeles. America's premiere hardcore punk band. Led by Greg Ginn (guitar) with Henry Rollins (vocals), Kira Roessler (bass) and Anthony Martinez (drums). Rollins tenure as singer represented the most stable line-up of the band but there were three vocalist that came before him: Keith Morris who later led the Circle Jerks, Dez Cadena and Chavo Pedarast (Ron Reyes). Rollins' real name is Henry Garfield and he has gone on to a prolific career as actor/poet and leader of the Rollins Band. Ginn continues to run the record label he founded, SST Records. One time drummer Chuck Biscuits went on to play with Danzig and Social Distortion. Reyes was also a member at one point of Redd Kross. Roessler ended up marrying and divorcing Mike Watt of The Minutemen/Firehose fame. 1977-86.
