From Liverpool, England. "Black" is Colin Vearncombe (vocals/multi-instrumentalist). A new wave pop singer, much like Paul Young and Robert Palmer. A bit of a one hit wonder, he dropped the alternative posturing, dropped the band name and dared to use his real name after 1993. His voice, as evidenced by his recordings has only improved with the passage of time! Recent recordings show his true development as an artist and reflect a folk tinged and moody presentation that reflects greater passion than his orchestrated synthesizer days. 1984-present.
