BIRDLAND

From Tamworth, England.  Led by Rob Vincent (vocals) with brother Lee Vincent (guitar), Syd (bass) and Kale (drums).  Draped in the stars and stripes like some punk version of The Who, these bleached blonde punkers bring to mind the look of the early Police.  Their original name was Zodiac Motel.  Many independent singles heralded early success but their hype outweighed them with the UK music press dubbing them the British answer to Nirvana.  They broke up in 1993, reformed in 1995 to little notice.  1990-91.
