BIG IN JAPAN
From Liverpool, England. Led by Jayne Casey (vocals) with Ian Broudie (guitar), Holly Johnson (bass), Bill Drummond (vocals/guitar) and Budgie (drums). While not a major force in early new wave, the members of the group all went on to illustrious careers save for Casey! Broudie became a major producer and formed his own band The Lightning Seeds. Budgie joined on with The Slits, then Siouxsie & The Banshees, married Siouxsie and formed The Creatures with her! Holly Johnson became the voice of Frankie Goes To Hollywood. And lastly Drummond became the true musical innovator with his band The KLF. Amazing that so much talent should be in one place and not even get a hit! 1977-78.
