BIG BAD VOODOO DADDY
From Los Angeles. Led by Scotty Morris (vocals/guitar) with Dirk Shumaker (bass), Kurt Sodergren (drums), Josh Levy (keyboards), Glen Markevka (trumpet), Andy Rowley (saxophone) and Karl Hunter (saxophone/clarinet). The lounge movement had an interesting off shoot in the last few years, a revival of interest in swing music. Mostly centered in Los Angeles, the new swing scene was highlighted in the movie "Swingers" where Big Bad Voodoo Daddy appeared performing their song "You And Me And The Bottle Makes Three Tonight (Baby)". Two independent releases and the movie appearance helped seal a major label contract which resulted in their movie hit becoming a radio hit over two years later! 1996-present.
