JEAN BEAUVOIR

From Chicago, Illinois.  Jean Beauvoir has been devoted to all forms of rock music since as a teen performer he became a vocalist for 50's doo-woppers The Flamingos!  The tall black man with the white mohawk first appeared as a member of The Plasmatics, often performing in a white tuxedo with tails.  His visual contrast was well planned but his musicianship led him to a stint with Little Steven's Disciples of Soul.  After the 80's, Beauvoir took on a slightly shaggier look before eventually going for the shaved head.  The 90's were spent with the bands Voodoo X and Crown of Thorns to scant attention.  Beauvoir has always had the potential to become a major rock star but in an industry dogged by image, his image was not something that anybody could figure out how to market.  Now if only the music did the talking, you would have heard of him by now!  1985-present.
