AUDIOSLAVE
From California. Led by Chris Cornell (vocals) and Tom Morello (guitar) with Brad Wilk (drums) and Tim Commerford (bass). The pairing of the former frontman for Soundgarden with the rhythm section of Rage Against The Machine seemed like a supergroup brainstorm that occurred in a back room session at the offices of M-TV. After a year of false starts, mostly held back by conflicting management, the result is something neither surprising or disappointing. The group originally called themselves Civilian. A quick output of three albums within four years before the band imploded. The group announced its end in February of 2007 with all members busy, Cornell to a new solo disc while the others regrouped as Rage Against The Machine. 2002-2006.
