THE ATARIS

From Santa Barbara, California.  Led by Kris Roe (vocals/guitar) with Mike Davenport (bass), John Collura (guitar) and Chris "Kid" Knapp (drums).  First gaining national notice with a totally unnecessary and atrocious version of Don Henley's "The Boys Of Summer", this song can either make them or break them in regards to their future.  They've spent many years building a reputation as a touring punk band and that reputation may be totally destroyed by this cover version or they've taken themselves back to square one as a pop punk act.   In 2006 the band was dropped by their label and they proceeded to start their own label and continue on as an independent act once again.  1998-present
