ASWAD
From West London, England. Led by Brinsley "Dan" Forde (vocals/guitar) with Tony "Gad" Robinson (bass) and Angus "Drummie Zeb" Gaye (vocals/drums). European reggae that sometimes sounds truer than its Jamaican inspiration. The name of the group is derived from the Arabic language meaning "black". The band recently marked 30 years together as Britain's premiere reggae innovators. 1976-present.
