SAL'S BIRDLAND
From Ottawa, Canada. Led by Louise "Sal" Reny (vocals) with Leslie Howe (guitar/keyboards), Michael Goyette (guitar), Tim Dupont (bass) and Andrew Lamarche (drums). Formerly known as Sal's Birdland where they released two albums under that name. Howe and Sal started their recording career as One 2 One and first had a hit in 1986 with the pop song "Angel In My Pocket". Howe was also extremely influential in the shaping of Alanis Morissette's career, both writing and producing her first two albums. The band broke-up in 1999. Sal now sings (sadly) in a covers band called Bubbles Cash and The Rhythm Method in her native Ottawa. 1993-1997.
