ARCTIC MONKEYS
From Sheffield, England. Led by Alex Turner (vocals/guitar) with Jamie Cook (guitar), Andy Nicholson (bass) and Matt Helders (drums). The UK phenomenon of 2006, this quartet of under 21 pop punkers stormed the charts in their native land and drew lots of rave reviews everywhere else. Huge amounts of attention were thrown on the band between 2005-06 and, possibly as a result, Nicholson quit the band claiming fatigue. Nicholson's replacement is Nick O'Malley. 2003-present.
