A.P.B.

From Ellon, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Led by Iain Slater (vocals/bass) with George Cheyne (drums) and Glen Roberts (guitar). New wave style mixed with guitar funk makes for interesting dance music. Limited success due to small label promotion makes this band a hardly known memory. However, their legacy is long and wide and they are always mentioned side by side with Gang of Four and other bands that successfully married punk and funk to create something new and vital to music. Slater became a mixing board engineer and currently is out on the road in that capacity with the band Keane. Slater also did time in the Scottish bands The Loveless, Whiteout, and Pablo. In 2006, the "Something To Believe In" compilation was reissued and expanded to two discs including rarities and a live performance. Renewed interest in the band yielded the album "3", their first new release in 21 years! 1981-86/2007.
