ANGELFISH
From Scotland. Led by Shirley Manson (vocals) with Martin Metcalfe (guitar), Fin Wilson (bass) and Derek Kelly (drums). Comprised entirely of former members of Goodbye Mr. McKenzie, this group's one album was a real jump point for Shirley's career. There has been some talk that there might be more from Angelfish in the future since Shirley is still signed to the label but the only thing to result so far in the wake of Shirley's success with Garbage has been lawsuits. The group's sole album was produced by Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth of Talking Heads/Tom Tom Club fame. The remaining members went on to release another album without Shirley as Fish Head. 1994.
