LAURIE ANDERSON
From Chicago, Illinois. A performance artist who makes intriguing albums on the side. Laurie is a writer, sculptor, artist and former teacher. She taught many classes at several colleges including the study of Egyptian architecture and art history. Her approach to music is just as fascinating as her performance art with the use of unusual instruments and computer programs. Since 1995, she has been romantically involved with Lou Reed. She continues to mount large scale pieces and is constantly productive. 1977-present.
