From Glasgow, Scotland. Led by actress Claire Grogan (vocals) with Tony McDaid (guitar), Johnny McElhone (bass) and Steve Lironi (multi-instrumentalist). The band unfortunately suffered from the focus of attention on Claire and not the band. Grogan was already an actress and has continued that career. McElhone became a prominent musician moving on to Hipsway and now plays in Texas. Onetime member John McKinven ended up forming One Dove. Grogan returned to music with the band Universal Love School in 1989 but hasn't released anything since. Recent years have found her hosting shows on VH-1 Europe. Grogan and her husband Lironi reformed Altered Images in 2002 as part of a British new wave nostalgia tour called Here And Now. 1981-83.
