ALPHAVILLE
From Berlin, Germany. Currently a duo, sonically resembling Ultravox and Depeche Mode in sound. Led by Marion Gold (vocals) and Bernhard Lloyd (keyboards). Definitely one of the longest lived synthpop bands. A large worldwide following, this band has been a hit everywhere except for America where they only enjoyed a brief stay in the charts in the mid-to late 80's. Gold has also released several solo albums. 1984-present.
