AFTER THE FIRE
From London and Essex, England. Led by Peter "Memory" Banks (keyboards) with Andy Piercy vocals/bass), John Russell (guitar) and Iva Twydell (drums). This group broke up just in time to have their only major hit, an English language cover of Falco's "Der Kommissar", and at this point all original members except for Piercy had already left the group! Piercy is more widely known these days as a producer and writer of Christian pop. In 1999, the group reunited for a few successful gigs but no new recordings. In 2004, the group again reunited with Banks and Russell and some new players but not with Piercy's participation. Since then, the Banks led ATF tours regularly on the nostalgia circuit. 1978-83.
