THE ADULT NET
From England. Led by California girl Laura Elise "Brix" Smith (vocals/guitar). Psychedelic pop with everything she learned while a member of The Fall thrown in on top. The recording band itself was not a touring entity but stocked with top class musicians from The Smiths, The The and Blondie. Brix, the former wife of Mark E. Smith (leader of The Fall) from 1983 to 1990, was also romantically linked with classical violinist Nigel Kennedy. Recent years have seen Brix try her hand at being a television host. Brix remarried and started a clothing boutique chain called Start. 1987-1989.
