A PERFECT CIRCLE
From California. Led by Billy Howerdel (guitar) with Maynard Keenan (vocals), Troy Van Leeuwen (guitar), Paz Lenchantin (bass/violin) and Josh Freese (drums). An interesting side project for Tool's Keenan turns into a full time band just as successful as his own regular gig! Keenan joined up as a favor to former Tool guitar tech person Howerdel. Freese was a former auxiliary member of punk band The Vandals while Van Leeuwen played with Failure. An interesting and very contemporary example of late 90's rock. Lenchantin was a solo artist before joining and decided to leave after the first album to join Billy Corgan's Zwan. Her replacement was former Marilyn Manson bassist Twiggy Ramirez. Freese has also joined up as a permanent member of Devo. In 2006, Keenan announced that A Perfect Circle was no longer together. 2000-2003.
