THE A's

From Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Led by Richard Bush (vocals) with Terry Borteman (bass), Rick DiFonzo (guitar), Rocco Notte (keyboards) and Mike Snyder (drums). An R&B based rock band, typical of late 70's bar boogie. Their hit "A Woman's Got The Strength" became an even bigger hit when saxophonist Clarence Clemons rearranged it for himself in the 1980's. Bush continued on to a solo career. DiFonzo became a known session guitarist who played with Roger Waters, Bob Dylan and others. Notte still creates music in several Philadelphia based bands. 1979-82.
